Travelling East will bring you in to an older part of London that used to be more industrial than urban, long considered as the less affluent part of London, this culturally rich zone gives you a taste of olden London with a few attractions to be seen. East London today is the fastest expanding part of London, it is a very vibrant area and if you have ever been to east London, do not be alarmed if the place you see now does not look familiar. Stratford hosted the London Olympics 2012 and for three months it came to be the center of international games, the Olympics village has turned into the Olympic park, a trendy satellite city with all the mods and cons of a modern city, there are new underground train and open air cable car networks connecting Stratford to various other neighbouring developments in East London.
Shoreditch, one of the flourishing locations in the east end is where fashionable bars sit alongside cut-price Indian restaurants, artists and fashion gurus make their very own clothes with materials from sari stores next door, and traditional cockney butchers share space with exclusive bakeries ... West London on the other hand is home to the leafy up-market spots of London; Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Kensington, Chelsea, are residence to some of the worlds most pricey hotels; The Dorchester, The Jumeirah, The Manderin, The Lanesborough, The Ritz and Claridges, are some of the elite hotels in west London that will most likely have an international star staying the evening on any day of the week. A lot of these hotels will have bars, discos and casinos that will be open to the general public and although they are very pricey, they are trendy, inviting and extremely active. Beefy body guards will grace the door ways while sleek glistening limousines glide down the leafy roads.
West London is home to many stylish pubs and restaurants that have a different feel from the loud East London and city venues, the crowds will tend to be a little older and reserved while the dress sense will be different too; sports shoes, leggings, sleeveless tops and dress jewellery will be swapped for dinner suits, shiny shoes, gowns and expensive jewellery. The places here will tend to be secluded behind exclusive looking entrances along quiet streets littered with the most expensive collection of cars you will see in the same place.
